Proyecto red de micro-áreas marinas protegidas
Protect the biodiversity of the infralitoral zone of Tenerife, controlling pest species like Diadema antillarum and increasing the number of marine protected areas and promoting educational campaigns.

Work packages
- Carry out the objectives proposed, and boosting sustainable diving as an activity that puts together conservation of marine environments and social economic development in Bahía de Montana Amarilla (Las Galletas-Costa del Silencio).
- Consolidate the proposal in five different areas.
Tasks
- Carry out previous scientific studies to evaluate the origin point.
- Restoration of the selected zone with the cooperation of scuba divers, volunteers and diving centers.
- Environmental educational campaigns, warning about the serious problems of the sea and specifically, informing about the sea urchin pest.
- Coordination of multiple actors to support the proposal (governments, fishermen, diving centers, etc.)

Implication of the users in the protection and regeneration of the ecosystems.
