A GIS (Geographic Information System) database was created to support the project and serve as a portal for the public. It contains all useful information available about the Channel MPA network.
It was based on work already done by the Agence des Aires Marines Protégées as part of the MAIA project on the Atlantic seafront, and on a merger with the OSPAR database. The MPA database is shared by all three projects and made available to PANACHE partners and the general public via a GIS web platform.
At the same time, a database serves to compile all the ornithological data acquired through the project.
